On March 14, on the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer Soldier Day, the Free and Faithful NGO handed over 18 Khyzhak buggies, special pickup trucks for mobile air defense groups, 4 mobile laundry and household complexes, 50 generators, and 60 tons of food to the military of the South Military Command. Vitalii Hersak, the founder of the NGO, is a volunteer soldier who joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the first days of the Russian invasion. He personally came to deliver the aid and congratulate his comrades.
“In the most difficult periods of our history, there have always been people who bravely and voluntarily took up arms and went to defend their homeland. For me, to be a volunteer means, first and foremost, to be a true citizen. I am proud that fate has brought me together with people who I will be proud to tell my descendants about. Everything we need for our fight against the enemy is collected and sent to the front by our volunteers, activists and concerned citizens, who are also an integral part of the volunteer movement,” Vitalii Hersak emphasized.
The buggies were manufactured by Ukrainian mechanics-inventors with the frontline off-road conditions in mind, specifically for reconnaissance and casualty evacuation units. The pickup trucks also have enhanced characteristics and are equipped to carry out combat missions by mobile fire teams that counter enemy attack UAVs. All these vehicles, equipment and assistance will be delivered to military units fighting in eastern Ukraine.
Soldiers of the Southern Operational Command who attended the transfer thanked the volunteers and activists for their regular and timely assistance. The Commander of the Southern Operational Command, Major General Andriy Kovalchuk, awarded Lieutenant Colonel Vitalii Hersak with a special command award.
As previously reported, the Free and Faithful NGO has been continuously helping the defenders at the front line and sending not only vehicles but also a lot of necessary equipment and machinery to different areas. To date, we have delivered over 360 FPV drones, more than 100 generators, 80 stoves, 50 thermal imagers, 6,000 sets of clothing, 100 tons of food, 2 ambulances, 5 buses, 12 pickup trucks, 5 mobile laundry and household complexes, 36 Khyzhak buggies and other equipment.
