NGO “Free and Faithful” organizes “Happy Saturdays” for children

The NGO Free and Faithful supports the families of servicemen and fallen heroes in Odesa and organizes regular charity events called Happy Saturdays.

These meetings have become a real holiday for children and their mothers, who find not only entertainment but also support.

Every Saturday, animators and aqua makeup specialists work for the kids, organizing fun contests and games. While the children are enjoying the entertainment, their mothers have the opportunity to take part in a brunch with a psychologist who is a military widow and understands the problems of military wives better than anyone. The specialist provides valuable professional advice and helps women cope with the pain and despair caused by the loss of their loved ones.

“Organizing such events is extremely important as we strive to create an island of joy and support for the families of our heroes. “Happy Saturdays help children to escape from the harsh reality of war, and their mothers are given the opportunity to receive the necessary psychological support. This not only contributes to their emotional health, but also strengthens our society,” emphasizes Vitalii Hersak, founder of the Free and Faithful NGO.

According to the organizers, holding “Happy Saturdays” is extremely important for local residents. War leaves a deep mark on the lives of military families, especially children, who need stability and emotional support.

“The aggressor may temporarily deprive us of electricity, household comfort and even homes, but he will never take away the childhood of little Ukrainians,” the Free and Faithful NGO notes.
